- Helena, Alabama
- We met in High School and have been married 40 years this past May 29, 2008. The quote above is from a book I read when Steve was in Viet Nam in '69 and '70. We have written it on every card and letter since. We wanted a large family but that wasn't to be. We adopted our Son Bill (Billy Joe)He is the child of my heart. After 30 something years working in various Foundries around the country, Steve came home one day and said I am finished! Left the next week to the University of Arkansas to Truck Driving School. So now he is a OTR Truck Driver. This was 9 years ago and I got Brinkley to keep me company. My Mom lived with us 2 of the years until she passed and she helped to spoil Brinkley, he kept her company, and when she would have a bad spell he would run down the stairs and stay with her til she could get her breath. I Miss her an awful lot.

I saw your comment on Miss Linda's blog and thought I would visit you this morning. What a lovely blog you have. My mom passed away in Sept. and had lived with us for the past 10 yrs. We had bought an older dachshund for her that she loved dearly. Life is not the same without my mama but we sure have precious memories, don't we? Your granddaughter is so very attractive. How proud you must be of her in nursing school. Nice to get acquainted.
