Boo Boo sitting at the door at 9pm waiting on his date!

He always welcomes Dad home with lots of kisses!

What a face.

Beautiful Moth - Steve

Steve found this moth in our flowers, I think it was sick...because it didnt fly off, after Steve brought it in the house he took it back to where he got, he said he thought it was dying, how
beautiful God's creatures are. When I was in High School, in Biology we had to do a bug collection what I wouldnt have given to have had one of these....automatic A...I made a A but it was so boring compared to this beautiful Moth....I don't think I could have killed it. I love nature and we have butterfly bushes and lots of flowers and we seem to draw butterflies and othe things.
Love Love it.

Brinkley's girlfriend "Snowflake"

This is Brinkley and his girlfriend Snowflake, or Snowbaby and we fondly refer to her.
My friends and neighbors Doug and his 2 daughters have walked Brinkley at 9 every evening that Steve is not here. Brinkley gets so excited that at 9 he comes in the living room like where is my friends to walk me. They have really been good to us and They are true blessings. I have told them they don't have to keep it up but evidently Snowbabie wants to see her boy friend.
They are so cute!

Sergio Graduation!

My grandson graduated from high school this May and I am so proud of him. I got senior pictures Saturday and I will scan later. I am so proud of him. His whole life he has been an artist. I would like him to go to a Arts School. Right now he says he can't make up his mind and doesn't really care about college , (he took a few classes in High School and the local college) now, I am hoping he changes his mind later

The last two weekend 's we have gone to Decoration and have one more to go.
We were brought up to honor the family that have gone on with flowers. Today
my son has no interest in going to decorations...guess we will have to leave a perpetual fund...hahaha....I laugh but its not funny...its sad.
I am getting over the depression of not being abl e to go back to work. I am retired...
not by choice but necessity......boo hoo. (Smile) I will have to learn what to do with
myself. I've got a few things in the planning, when I get stronger.....

3 weeks into it!

Well Friday was 3 weeks after knee surgery. I am keeping up with the theraphy and the bending machine. I got my 37 staples out last week and that helps a lot on the bending. I want to thank everyone that has helped by walking my baby and fixing meals and my sweet husband for all the time and things he has helped me with. I am walking with 2 sticks and off the walker, I may use the walker when I start to walk Brinkley again. Thank you guys for all the prayers.

I read the Helena News today and One of my friends 8 year old won 3 place at State Wrestling. This is his first year! Can't imagine what he will be like when he gets more training under his belt. Congratulations!

More of the Bionic Saga!

Happy Valentine's Day

Since I have been out with the flu I am behind in writing my thoughts, hopefully Iwill get all of them out before I go to the hospital next Thursday.

My Son and DIL are having dinner with us on Valentine's day for my Birthday which is coming the 17th (Tuesday). I am so excited. They are going to San Francisco for their vacation next month, which is Bill Birthday and His and Katie's anniversay! I know they will have a great time looking at the vineyards and other great things. Steve loved it out their when he was out filling in for work for some drivers back a few months ago. He is not a in city person but he loves the country.

I have been looking for my perfume for a long time "Emeraude" By Coty and I finally found it on line....duh ....didn't think about it, I feel a little slow sometimes. (Smile) When you have a signature smell ( hahahah) you can't get use to another, and I don't think age has anything to do with it, but it may. I like the clean fresh smell and it doesn't overwhelm me into a hugh headache. Bill and Steve usually buy this for me and for the last two years I haven't needed it because I had a supply...well the supply is totally gone except for a tub of body powder.

On a serious note Bama Belle has ask that everyone prays for Jeremy & Johnna Stafford, they are expecting a baby and there are some problems with the fluid and the Doctors are not giving good expections. Our Journey with Baby Stafford . I don't know these wonderful people but they need our prayers, anyone that has lost a child or anyone it is a difficult time.

Also my friend Cindy's Dad passed away yesterday with cancer and as we all know, to loose a parent is one of the hardest times in anyone life, it sure was mine.

"But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 31

Honest Scrap Award

I was catching up on my reading and guess what happened to me.....I was awarded The Honest Scrap Award by sweet fellow blogger 7th Heaven . Ann-Marie usually write the sweetest things to me and makes me feel great......Thank you. She was awarded it by a fellow blogger that she follows 5 vinez monkeys. Imagine my surprise when I read to the end and saw that she had bestowed this honor on me. Ann-marie said that she knows sometimes this blogging thing seems "odd"..like how could you form these attachments to people via a computer..but, the LORD does allow that..he has allowed this on-line blogging community to pull together, support one another in times of need, pray for one another and REJOICE together. As she put it I am glad to be a part of the blogging community and am enjoying the friendships I am forming. I hope I do this correctly. Here goes---

To my understanding this award is bestowed upon bloggers who write about issues close to their very own heart. I am honored that Ann-Marie thought this much of me also

The rules are as follows:
1)List 10 honest things about yourself
2)Pass this award on to 7 bloggers whom you feel are deserving of the Honest Scrap Award!

1.I played catcher on softball teams until about 12 years ago (The Knees). I was a tom boy my whole life, and loved every minute of it.

2. I love and collect Teddy Bears and Angels, ( I have a few dolls)

3. When I buy something new I avoid telling my husband so he won't get excited and hollar! Smile!

4. I would love to have Grandchildren from my son.

5. I am dreading my knee surgery!

6. I do not call my Son much because he doesn't call me and I don't think he wants to talk to me.

7. I would love for my DIL to love me like a mom or a friend.

8. I hate Steve driving a truck.

9. Putting things off til the last minute.

10. Love Brinkley so much it makes my Son and DIL jealous.

So here are my seven people to get this award

1. Babyhenderson

2. Tales from bloggeritaville

3. The Stallings Clan

4. The wonderful World of Whatleys of Helena

5. Apples of Gold

6. Sunbonnet Cottage

7. Dustbunny

Have fun. Looking forward to seeing your list. If you don't have time we will understand since I am new to this also.

I Am a 'Kept' Woman

I Am a 'Kept' Woman?
You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind, But GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3)
There were times when I thought I could go on no longer, But the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)
At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong, But the LORD kept my mouth shut. (Psa. 13)
Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough, But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25 -34)
When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up. When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)
I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me! I'm blessed to be 'kept.

I'm Kept by the Love and Grace of God! I am indeed a 'kept' woman and praise God for it!

I got this in an email this morning and it blessed my heart, My friend Diana sent it to me and she is a truly wonderful friend. When I had my last knee replacement and was out of work for 6 months having 2 operations, I got a card from her every week, and the rest of my co-workers brought me food and snaks since I couldn't get out of bed. I have been blessed with truly wonderful people in my life......Thank you God.

The other day I looked out my window at work and here was a big hawk sitting in a tree praying. (smile) This is not a great picture but it will do, this was a really long way off. He was hugh when he had his wings spread out. It was one of the largest ones I had ever seen. Have you ever had a dream about flying? I did once and it was the absolute most wonderful dream, the feelings of just picking up and flying on your own made me feel like I had never felt before, I woke up and tried to go back to sleep to finish dreaming and couldn't, it was really frustration!

My "Awww...Monday"

Posted by Picasa

I have joined the "Awww...Mondays" club.. my friend Jennifer sent it to me, Kimmie (one of her friends) of Pretty Amazing Grace started it and here are her rules.

Happy Monday Friends!
I have decided to start a meme of my own called "Awww...Mondays"
I feel it would be nice to start the week off with photos that will make people smile.
If you would like to participate just leave a comment in my post and I will come by and visit your blog. If I get enough bloggers who would like to do this, I will find out how to do a Mister Linky Box. :-)
Any type of photo is fine. Your own personal, one that you may have received in an email, or found on your own. As long as it is cute enough to make you say "Awww" it will work!

Contest results for Christmas are in.

I just found out that we won 2nd place in the Christmas decoration contest in our neighborhood! Suprise Suprise! Of course this was in the whimiscal part and not traditional but I am whiniscal anyway! I told Steve that the Teddy Bear that I am partial too and the new deer did it! Well next year we have a new elephant standing on a ball (this is lighted) yeah! Look out neighbors! Steve told me that someone took pictures of our house but I thought he was pulling my chain....guess not. I love to decorate and I love to sit and look at the lights.

My Granddaughter has a new boyfriend, His names is James, and he is a rodeo rider. School started back for her at Tarleton the 12th of January and I believe the word she used was overwhelming! She is in nursing and I know it is hard but she loves it. She has always said that when she gets her ranch that she will build Steve and I a house on her property, so that I can take care of her babies like we did her and Serg.....(good thought) Hope I not to old to go by then....hahahha! Love this Kid, her heart is so big.

In Memory to Patsy Keys

Patsy Keys was married to my 1st cousin JT, they have lived in Crossville, AL their entire married life, pass away Saturday and was burried yesterday. She just turned 65 the 10th of December and died on the 10th of January. She had 2 children and several grandchildren. A kinder person you will never meet. She had so many flowers that they were almost outside the funeral home. Patsy had a green thumb and grew all kinds of flowers in her yard and everyone knew that she love flowers. The funeral home was so full that it took almost an hour to get to the room to visit the family. It speaks to your life when everyone in town comes to your funeral. My cousin was the comic in the marriage and Pat was the quite and always had a smile on her face. Hard worker, great Mother, wonderful friend, She will be surely missed. Our family reunions in August won't be the same, she works behind the scenes, and helps where ever she can.
I know her Daughter and she were real close, and I really feel for her, it is so hard to loose a Mother..... We really need to pray for this family. Thanks for listening to my dribble. I will write more later...haven't been in a writing mood.
Hugs to everyone.

You just don't appreciate the Sunshine until you have the rain that we have had. Dark and gloomy days just brings the spirit down, but when the sun pops its head out, it just makes you feel great! When you get down on rainny days I always wonder how Noah made it 40 days and 40 nights. How much grumbling he got from his family and the animals (smile). It just goes to show you we need the rain for spring flowers. I use to love the song the "April Showers". I love the old songs.

Through April Showers may come your way
They bring the flowers that bloom in may
So if its raining, have no regrets
Because it isn't raining rain, you know, its raining violets.

So when you see clouds upon a hill
There soon will be crowds of daffidols
So keep on looking for a Blue Bird and
Listening for his songs
When ever April showers come along.

I realize the its January and not April but we have needed water...And God said He would supply all of our needs. I am trying to think of all the drops that fell are "Pennies from Heaven" (another old song). Another song I like to sing to pick up my spirits is the "Red Red Robin". We use to sing a lot of these songs in Choir in high school, Ms Volkman loved them and she would really get to swinging to them...she introduced us to these beautiful songs in the 60's when most of us want to hear Elvis, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, etc....... She gave us a liking for all kinds of music and for that I really appreciate her. We sung for one of our programs "One God". Can you imagine children getting to sing that in schools now! Some of the people would choke! Ha Ha Ha! Thank you Lord for your many blessings of memories and the ability to remember them, for as long as we can.

Gene Truitt

I found out from my friend Carol that Gene passed away and that they had a grave side service for the family. Mr. Gene was one of the most gentle, kind, and helpful man. When we first moved to the neighborhood he was on the Board of Directors for the BVHA. He told me about how many years he was president and all the work they did to get the neighborhood off the ground. Gene made all the Street Posts and Signs in his wood shop. Ms Elsie was over the Garden Club when we had it, she love flowers and a beautiful yard. After she passed the neighborhood bought 4 trees and planted them along the drive. Mr. Gene was always so sad after she passed. I was really sad when he moved close to his son Martin. The only nice thing that happend was we got the Whatley's and they are a great family. My other Buddy George passed several years ago and is a great loss for both of these fine gentlemen and I emphasize gentle. God Bless their families.

And Then:

See how Brinkley is laying down on the Job, well I don't
know what happened to our beloved team but I have
always said that on any given day it was who ever wanted
to win...could. Congrats Putz, Utah did a fine job of walking
all over us.....smile. You said they would because they wanted
it. It really made us sad, I went in the other room so I didn't
get the brunt of the game day fussing! Ha Ha Brinkley could have
cared less about the game, just Steve and me. I am so looking
forward to next year!
